Stop the press!

Just got the Summer Series results from Wednesday night.

An absolute first I was equal top score (over all entrants). A good thing my navigation skills have not diminished as the equal winner was Gary MacGregor (six foot track winner) and a slew of faster runners behind me.

And there I was after the run a bit bummed out about my stuff up around 30 and taking a walk break up a couple of the steeper pinches...

Certainly a good course to know when to turn for home rather than chase more points!

This will have to go down in the history books, a good thing a few more of the faster runners did not show up :)

Edit : for interest here is my route on google earth

WOOOHOOO congratulations Dave - I followed your summer series last year really closely (I would dearly love to do one of these but have other commitments so live it vicariously through you) superb effort mate.

Great job with FF too ;-)

Big pat on the back to you Dave. I am sure even if the faster runners turned up you would still have done extremely well.

Like you said, those things are about speed, navigation and common sense (which is actually quite hard when you are in a race to turn around and go back).

Brilliant result and you should be very happy for that.

Congratulations on the equal first win Dave. Hard work around the hills near that bridge. Well done.
