Back into the ninja suit today for my secret 1km workout.

Noticed that the achilles was not as obvious up front this morning so hopefully a good sign that things are on the improve! Once I got down to the 8km mark on the Lane Cove 10km course I took off the polypro gloves as it seemed quite temperate, winter is slowly going!!
So the goal today was to step up to 6 1km efforts with the same 2 min walking recovery. Last week I achieved 4 reps at an average of 3:55.
3:57 Up
3:54 Down
3:56 Up
3:52 Down
3:53 Up
3:52 Down
Which gives 6 reps at an average of 3:54, quite chuffed with that! Trying to do reps like this by yourself I reckon is much harder than chasing people in a group so I'd still like to mix in some attendances at Timbrell when I can. Maybe a few more weeks......
The good thing is at the end I still have to run 3km back home for a nice warm down, it is funny how the warm down feels very slow but I looked at my average pace home and it was just over 5min/km!
As I got to the corner of Delhi and Plessey Rd my ninja cover was blown as MPH cruised by on his bike.

... you may have to try a groucho marx disguise for next time.
Great splits Dave - looks like C2S did you no harm!
Nice work Dave.
I'm surprised Miners didn't ask you where you bought your new black outfit from - after all, as we know he's a fan of black lycra
;-)
Looks more like you busted Marty on his secret training. Nice reps too Dave. Sydney should be pretty good for you if you can keep this training till early Sept at least.
Great consistency there Dave.
BTW What winter? 27 here this weekend and I have barely worn a jacket all year.
Beautiful one day - perfect the next. I am hoping the mild winter will not mean a humid summer...
Hope those Striders are being well looked after.
Good effort on the rep with not much difference between the up and the down. Does the ninja suit cause chafing?
